Camp site selection skills

Choosing a campsite is like setting up a home. It is related to your comfort, safety and convenience. Please pay attention to the following points.

1. Smooth communication

It is best to choose a campsite where there is a mobile phone signal. If you have any questions, you can easily contact. If there is no signal in the camp, or if you want to pursue quietness and put aside trivial matters in the world, you must notify your family in advance to avoid worrying those who care about you.

2. Stay away from the cliff:

Camps should not be pitched on cliffs and places where rocks and rocks might fall to avoid serious danger.

3. Prevent lightning strikes:

In the rainy season or in areas with many thunderings, tents must not be pitched in open high ground.

4. Fire prevention is important:

Fire prevention is not only to prevent forest fires, tents must also pay attention to fire prevention. All mountaineering tents (except travel and leisure accounts), in order to reduce the load and pursue light weight, so they usually use thin materials. This kind of tent usually loses its rain resistance with a few sparks. Therefore, the fire source must be far away from the camping tent.

5. Back to the wind:

The leeward place should be selected, and the tent floor should be nailed and the wind rope fixed firmly, especially on the top of the mountain at high altitude.

6. Close to the water source:

Camping must choose places close to water sources, such as rivers and lakes. However, the camp cannot be placed on a river beach that is too close to the water. Once it rains and causes flash floods, life is in danger.

7. The shade and the sun:

No matter where you camp, it is shaded in summer and sunny in winter. In beach camping, shade is very important, otherwise, sleeping in a tent will be like a sauna.

Regarding toileting: some camps have public restrooms. I believe everyone will dig pits. If conditions permit, it is a good choice for users to change clothes outside as protection. Men's and women's toilets should be in different directions in the camp.

Divide the camp area: divide into a neighborhood for sleeping and snoring, a neighborhood for chatting or playing cards after sleeping late, and a neighborhood for going to bed early and getting up early. Try to keep the girls’ tents in the middle of the camp and the boys spread around.

Leveling the camping site: Clean up the campsite that has been selected, mainly things that are easy to get bad debts such as grass and wooden sticks. Remember to protect the environment. The fire must be extinguished with water when pulling out of the camp. Make sure that there is no flame before leaving. Take out all the garbage as much as possible and put it in the garbage can in the city. If it cannot be taken out all, degradable garbage (such as food residues) can be buried on the spot.
