The evolution and development of modern tents (2)

Windproof, convenient for camping, and large space. The first Oval Intentions was created on October 6, 1975. At that time, those few people made some chocolate, ice cream, and opened a party in a small dimly lit house. They only know that they have built a very awesome tent, but they may not realize that this is a Game-Changer. After all, this tent is really too revolutionary. The most popular tent at the time was called A-shaped tent/A frame tent.

Hilleberg is known as the tent king or tent emperor. When I first learned about Hilleberg, I felt that this tent company from Northern Europe was more like a small workshop. The art on the website is almost impossible to read. It's a far cry from MSR. Later, I discovered that no matter where they are, they are always willing to label, Hilleberg the TentMaker.

The birth of Hilleberg, to some extent, is the crystallization of a love story. A long, long time ago, in far away Sweden, there was a former soldier and today's outdoor enthusiast who had a resentment for all the tents at that time. Why do all tents have to set up internal accounts first and then external accounts. Bo used to be trained as special forces. They needed to fight continuously without back-ups behind the enemy. He must design a tent that can be built together with inside and outside tents. But this dream is not easy to realize.

Bo Hilleberg only founded Hilleberg AB in the beginning. The company's focus is not on tents at all, but on forest products. Because making a tent is not that simple after all. But an accidental trip changed everything. Bo Hilleberg traveled to Austria and met a girl named Renate. This girl named Renate has very good craftsmanship. Knitting is particularly good. With Renate's technology, Bo can realize his ideal of life as a tent. The two got married smoothly. Renate was crowned with Hilleberg's surname, and Hilleberg the tentmaker was born.

In 1971, Bo received a piece of fabric that was waterproof. When he wanted to cut, he found that he couldn't cut it. This is simply an ideal tent material. In 1975, after his own improvement, Hilleberg brought this material to the market. Named kerlon fabric. To this day, this is still the best tent fabric in the world.
